Blouse and Green

Although I tend not to post too many of theses, but here is my latest collage on a lookalike. The look on the left is by Gucci featuring a swing below knee skirt, white pussy-bow blouse, transparent, wedged sandals and there all-too-recognisable chain bag. I’m feeling the love from the color green.

A short ‘n’ sweet fashion blog this week folks but I’m singing off as it’s our Bank Holiday weekend and I’m too to Brandon Point in West Kerry to spread my summer style: You should too.

Zoe Kravitz- a quiet icon.

Zoe Kravitz- a quiet icon.

Hipster, elegance, class and attitude. Not to forget, a side helping of inherited fame. Kravitz seems to ooze effortless grunge and style.

Think boho chic, summer festival style. Dreads, leather, doc Martin’s and funk. Kravitz has it nailed. Having watched the entire series of Big Little Lies in one night I was Zoe-ified. Playing the cool, step-mom, doing school drop offs in kimono’s and denim pants, I was officially a follower.

Rainy Days

Rainy Days

So we don’t necessarily mind if it rains in Ireland, right? Not if the temperatures are up and spirits to boot. Why not put your best foot forward and rig yourself out in on of these bright and smashing rain coats?

Topshop Metallic Rain Coat.

Here are a few of my selected favourite rain macs on the high streets this week. I just love this metallic  longline mac from Topshop. It’s now only 48 quid reduced from almost 70!

So embrace those rainy early summer days and get your fun macs on. With a fancy umbrella in hand, go dance in the rain.

Weekend Diaries

So can someone please explain to me why this weekend went by Concord-fast? What is with that. And Monday will be a drag. So I’m going to preserve what little time I have here and enjoy my Sunday drippings with some fashion fixes.
Below, I have put together a mix of some cute pastel sleepwear. I just love silky slips, don’t you?
I put together this collage below of some fun and funky bright colours. Mustard has seriously been on my radar for the past couple of weeks. I’ve paired it with bold black to take one in to a nice chic Sunday evening. (Just in case you had some last minute dates or nightcaps to attend)

A-Line + The Slipper

Powerful inspiration this week from the new February edition of Ireland’s very own February edition of Social and Personal . Established in 1934 for a damn reason… These fashion editors have the best ideas!
I put together a few of my picks  from the range of A-line skirts out there. Pair with a cute slipper or dare I say moccasin for a perfect silhouette.
A Line + The Slipper

Take some more inspiration from the wonderful new line from Mariella Burani. This is a beautiful rose pink A line pleat with a striped turtleneck. Stripes are the way to go this spring (see previous 2 blogs). I just think these slippers are one in a million. Do you think they come on sale yet?!

Big, Bold Skirts

I felt like doing a crossover outfit between warm and cosy but not quite getting ready for the slopes. Here is one of my new favourite picks; a Valentino pencil skirt with loud, bold naturistic print. It reminds me of a could-be Florida backdrop (so gets me in the mood for SS and what’s to come!). I’ve paired it with a bottle green, cable-knit, cosy sweater by Stella McCartney. I know this is promoting bank looting in order to afford these specific picks, but my collages are meant to inspire. No carbon copies allowed! Think outside the box. Get a old skirt from your wardrobe. If you don’t own one, root through an old charity shop or second hand thrift store. Ask a friend with a taste, ask your neighbours granny. Beg, borrow but don’t steal! When you have accomplished that, get an old fisherman cable knit jumper. Oversize all the way. If you are petite, wrap a nice skinny belt around your waist to accentuate how great your waistline it. Pair with your slickest heels or groovy neutral trainers if you’re a busy lady.

These two beauties are both ASOS. All under fifty quid. And wonderful examples how you can pair oversize plain tops with funky, fussy, loud prints. Keep the colors in the same family if at all possible. Don’t go overboard.
So there you have it. Make it a big, bold skirt-type of week ladies.

Happy Dressing!

Shape Up, Glam Up.

Shape Up, Glam Up.
It’s that time of year when everyone thinks they’ve caught the January Blues. Wake up; and get up people. It’s the perfect opportunity to hit the sales. Buy the trendiest, grooviest everyday outdoor jacket and a new pair of kicks. Pick a local favourite coffee shop and hit the pavement running.

I recently found a great new Costa in my neighbourhood and I’ve taken to going twice weekly before my late work shift. It’s an incentive to get out, exercise and get my caffeine kick, all whilst getting dressed up in my new active wear.
l-2.jpg
So there you have it. These are a few of my favourite picks. Think warm leggings, puffy oversize sports jackets, headphones and comfy shoes and get moving. I hope you enjoy this blog and its ideas. May it inspire you to get moving in style.
Happy Reading!
