Fresh, pressed, pleated, A line, fitted; any which way and gingham is yours. Clean and feminine for your long, summer days. There are some fabulous finds out there on the high street. It wont break the bank.
Above illustrates the modern yet classic-kept look of the gingham print. It is available from Urban Outfitters for a mete $35 USD. The look here is paired with Oxford brogues. Why not stand out even more with mules, espadrilles or fun wedges for the ultimate continental look.
And, hey we cant assume an outfit unless it’s head to toe! Grab your matching set of underwear from Anthropologie for a whopping $9. Perfect for a cheeky lakeside picnic in the heat of the afternoon!
I don’t know why these ladies look so grim. They have a lot to shout about. What a beautiful decade was the seventies and we are them to thank for today’s ideas palette for prints, and not just for gingham.

S is for Summer
Here are a few ways of dressing for that coffee date with friends or for when you are dining al fresco for an early lunch. It doesn’t have to be too fussy. Summer is also the time you can get away with being relatively casual but looking like the effort has been made.
The embroidered shift dress by Giamba is the crossover, neutral outfit whereby it can be worn with either pieces of footwear and sunnies.
Don’t forget your sunhat to protect your beautiful face and protect your hair. Much and all as we love the sun, remember there are ways to protect AND look fashionable at the same time.
Happy Maywear.
