Robin Wright as Claire Underwood.

l.jpg

She’s smart, she’s vindictive, she’s a wife and ambassador. She’s on the up, but most of all she’s stylish. Robin Wright plays the fictional character of Claire Underwood in the TV series “House of Cards”. Since season four has gotten well underway, I decided to compile a quick template on her typical wardrobe- neutral shades with a mix of classic sophistication. Let’s take a peek inside.

Navy fitted sheath dress by J Crew: $150

Gaberdine trench by Jil Sander: £1,170

Navy suede pumps by Kate Spade: £225

Large satchel by YSL: £1,130

Vintage gold pearl nest earrings by Chanel: $500

Unisex eyeglasses by Ray-Ban: $210

Keep your wardrobe with basic neutrals based on Claire’s. These are timeless and classic and go with everything. Invest in the expensive, higher end labels when it comes to basics as this will be the blank canvas for what you wear. Choose wisely!

Renzez-vous Attire

l-1.jpg

The only thing that takes us through the Monday work blues is knowing the fact that Thursday evening is just around the corner, right? Well here I’ve put together a template of some basics but how you can dress up your work outfit for the perfect happy hour in a dainty library bar in central London, or for dinner with some friends. Here are my picks:

Sweater: Wool Ribbed Slouchy Sweater (black), by Jaegar: $210. Available on  JAEGER.CO.UK. This is a staple piece. Black, neutral and it goes with everything.

Handbag: Large Quilted Boy Bag by Chanel: $3,800. Tan quilted-leather with antiqued silver-tone hardware, chain-link and leather shoulder strap. Available from THEREALREAL.COM. This bag is large enough to fit all your essentials in, ok maybe not the heels but you’ll figure it.

Shoes: Velvet Sandals by Tom Ford: $1,490. There’s simply no going wrong with these stunners. Anyone can look like a supermodel in these. Available from MYTHERESA.COM. Suck it up sore feet. This is what you have to do to look fabulous in your Thursday wear.

Pants: Wide Leg ‘Tasia’ Trousers by Erdem: $860. These are elevated above the classic culotte by the use of an intricate jacquard. The voluminous cut emphasised by the use of deep central pleats – Perfectly paired with the Tom Fords to reach that elegant, monochrome look. Available from BROWNSFASHION.COM

Shades: Saint Laurent Classic 57 Sunglasses by YSL: $395. YSL.COM. Hey, I’m expecting sunny spring evenings leaving the office.

Earrings: Cara Oval Button Stud Earrings from Lord & Taylor: $25. Faceted button studs turn heads in soft a shimmer where purple meets blue. Subtle enough for early evening wear, these will make any outfit look elegant.

Coat: Runway Vladimir Coat by BCBGMAXAZRIA: $1,799. Wines, camels and cream tones. This will look so smart over a trouser suit , dresses or jeans. I’m all about coats.

The elongated silhouette is ornamented with intricate embroidery and hand-sequined embellishment. Layer it over sophisticated separates and airy silhouettes alike.

Wristwatch: I Love Ugly Samuel Watch Accessories: $99. Available on REVOLVE.COM. Make sure to set that watch to happy hour!

Milan Fashion Week- My picks

059.jpg

Dsquared, I mean come on. I picked my top three looks within one full scroll of photo clips. At first I was thinking top heavy with this one (above), especially with the fussy stockings, however, I think the layering of the top half helps with the asymmetry. I love the rolled sleeves here. The blue is very contrasting with the black. If you feel brave, add the funky earrings. Choose a bright color though.

Salvatore Ferragamo launched bright colors, patterns and bold prints. It was an “anything goes” display and how we loved it. These are my top four picks from the Firenze-born label. Think houndstooth, pastels, stripes and blue fluffy shoes.

My top pick from Jil Sander Fall/Winter 2016

My heros at MaxMara have decided to lure me for another Autumn/Winter season. How nice of them! My favourites were the stunning beige/ brown outfits. And, yes I would wear the latter. I have pins, I care to show them off on the weekend, and so should you.

I’m afraid I have to leave it at this for tonight. I do plan on doing another on Milan Fashion Week next week and zoning in particular, my favourite accessories. Let’s leave it with my top 2 picks from Tod’s.
